Bamboo is a painting I completed while studying Chinese watercolor painting in Taiwan under the direction of Wang Hai Feng.  He was a master at painting the entire bird with just 7 strokes.  With this method of painting the artist paints an area in a single stroke.  You mix your paint and ink on the brush and make the stroke.  What a fortune to have studied with this man.  All our communication was in Chinese.  He spoke no English and I spoke no Chinese.
